Why do I have such a
hard time finding a shoe that fits me? If shoes never quite fit right, you need to come in for a foot evaluation. |

| Not all feet are created the same. The image here shows two feet that have the same overall length and width, but have very different arch lengths. How do they each find the correct fit? Most long arched people think that a wider shoe will fix the problem. This does help address the width issue but will not take care of the lack of support. | This is what the long arch foot looks like when fitting only for foot length. The widest part of this foot will be too far forward in the toe box causing discomfort. This foot needs a shoe with a much rounder toe box and a larger platform to better match the arch. |
This diagram shows how the longer arch should properly fit into the shoe. By increasing the length (shoe size, but not width) the arch can better match that of the shoe shape. This additional support can make all the difference between a happy foot that is pain free and a cramped foot that is prone to bunions, arch pain, and many other issues. | ||
